GOALS

1.To cultivate outstanding primary school, kindergarten, and special education teachers.
2. To cultivate an exceptional administrative faculty of culture and education.
3. To cultivate professional faculty in psychology counseling and guidance.
4. To cultivate educational academic researchers.
5. To cultivate educational administrators and school administrators.
6. To promote teachers’ advanced study.
7. Assist teachers in participating in transnational academic interaction.
8. To facilitate teachers’ lifelong learning.

  

FACULTY COMPOSITION

The College of Education is composed of 54 experienced full-time faculty members, 53 of whom hold a doctorate degree, and 1 hold a master’s degree. Currently, the faculty includes 13 professors, 31 associate professors, 9 assistant professors, and 1 instructors.

1. To persue innovative development based on teacher training education.
2. To combine teachers’ professional development and academic research.
3. To cultivate practical educational leadership.
4. To popularize social services based on humanity to promote humane care in social services.
5. To create new opportunities for education using an industry and university cooperation model.

  2. To provide the professional field with information on educational administration and policy, and cultivate academic research and practical applications.

  4. To provide the international field with educational academic research.

  1. 1. Emphasizes both the theory and practice of curriculum design.
  2. Extends the scope of teaching and learning activities.
  3. Develops teaching practices with the education industry.
  4. Promotes a “professional development school” and the spirit of the teaching practicum.
  5. Uses teaching materials and methods when developing creative concepts and designing teaching activities.
  6. Advances theoretical knowledge, innovation, research insight, and practical skills.
  7. Fosters a solid education in the future research talents.

  1. Implements the designed curriculum by emphasizing its sequential application.
  2. Assists students planning self-learning paths and diverse studies.
  3. Ensures the curriculum emphasizes interactive teaching and the learning process and results.
  4. Incorporates social services into the formal curriculum.

Department of Early Childhood Education
  1. Focuses on the basic professional ability of Early Childhood teachers.
  2. Emphasize linking theory and practice to strengthen training courses.
  3. Develops additional professional skills beyond the ability of teachers.
  4. Strengthens student ability to pass the kindergarten teacher examination.
  5. Combines education-related resources in southern Taiwan.

Department of Special Education
  1. Provides pretraining and expertise to diverse elementary school special education teachers.
  2. Emphasizes the combination of theory and practice.
  3. Provides training in basic research abilities and encourages students to conduct special studies.
  4. Through service learning, enhances the professional knowledge and skills of students of Humanities and Social Care.
